"If you'd like something stable and decent-paying, with a really great mission and many awesome programs, then HUD is a great place for you. I'm an ambitious person that would like a bit more flexibility, creativity, and opportunities for advancement."
What don't you like about working at United States Department of Housing & Urban Development?
"It's not really my direct supervisor that micromanages. What I hate is having to get approval from so many levels and jump through so many hoops to get something done or published. It's not really my direct supervisor, who is a wonderful person (though a bit resistant to change)... it's the senior leaders of our division and other divisions at HUD who micromanage."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would do more to improve the physical work environment of the headquarters building. In addition, I would offer more opportunities for advancement within the organization."
