Avid4 Adventure Employee

"Working at avid entirely depends on which age group you are assigned and which co-workers you work with for in the week. Additionally, the director/assistant director is different at each avid location. My experience was awful any week I worked with the explorer group as it also always aligned with training new hired staff. I was additionally blamed for all the time management issues when it was (hello) not just me working with a group of overbooked children who constantly had tantrums, never picked up their belongings, etc. which we were then held responsible for all the time consuming obstacles of the children. But there are two other co-workers, who half the time did not exchange their contact information, barely cared of the children's interests, and often failed to complete their share of the tasks so you had to do that on top of handling groups of children interrupting you 24/7. At times I was even left independent to manage a group when our particular location was short staffed and your co-s have to shuttle or drive other groups. Also the director was a condescending old school gaslighting dismissive "leader", who was upset every-time you came to him with issues, more concerned of his own popularity and on too many occasions promised you one thing that he then changed his agreement about. Working for avid was a joke. You never know the schedule in advanced, both the directors only receive partial perspective stories from tattle-tailing 19 year old bratty co workers who felt threatened and felt the need to put other people down."

"A fast paced work environment dependent mainly on who your coworkers are and group of kids."
