Overview

The Viva Insights team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join their Copilot Impact Dashboard team. This designer will demonstrate design thinking and strives to work across complex and spaces. Being hands on, you support and design breakthrough experiences that impact how millions of people use our products and services. Leading by example is a critical skill for this role, someone who wants to do design, help to tell our stories, and inspire our design team and our organization. You will be responsible for deep customer understanding through users' needs, emotions, and behaviors to gather insights that inform our experience design strategy. You will need to be able to communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods-from telling a compelling story to providing sketches, to creating fully rendered designs. You will work closely with research, PM, and developers, as well as other design teams, Copilot teams, and app partners to meticulously execute ideas into production.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver world-class interaction designs from initial concept through finished product
  • Create and assess design solutions based on user research input, user goals, and business requirements
  • Solve complex design problems in simple and intuitive ways that blend together brand personality, visuals, motion, and sound to create delightful experiences
  • Produce design visualizations to help everyone understand what the experience should be: storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and vision pieces
  • Work closely and constructively with product management, visual and interaction designers, editors, engineers, and user researchers to iterate and deliver flawlessly
  • Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals
  • Have the ability to travel for work occasionally

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
    • OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)


Preferred Qualificiations
  • 5+ years' experience leading 0-1 design with a deep product thinking focus
  • Experience designing analytics tools and dashboards
  • Designing user experiences for enterprise software, services, and data analytics
  • Portfolio is required; demonstrating design process, UX flows, interaction patterns and visual design skills
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Awareness of trends in mobile, communications, and collaboration
  • Ability to create highly polished design prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts
  • Ability to scope and estimate efforts accurately and prioritize tasks and goals independently
  • History of impacting shipping products with your work
  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools, such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch
  • Creating and applying established design principles and interaction patterns
  • Aligning or influencing design thinking with teams working in other geographies


Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
